Sec. 857. Report on commercial item determinations

Not later than 180 days after enactment of this Act, the Undersecretary for Acquisitions and Sustainment shall submit to the congressional defense committees a report on commercial item determinations containing the following: An accounting of the training available for the acquisition workforce related to commercial item determinations and price reasonableness determinations under Federal Acquisition Regulations Part 12, including a description of the training, duration, periodicity, whether the training is optional or mandatory, and the date on which the training materials were last substantially revised.
An assessment of the currency of the acquisition workforce in the training described in paragraph (2). The Undersecretary for Acquisitions and Sustainment shall publish on an appropriate publicly available website of the Department of Defense the report required by subsection (a).
