Section 12105(e)(2) of title 46, United States Code, is amended— by striking subparagraphs
(A)and
(B)and inserting the following: The owner or operator of a recreational vessel may choose a period of effectiveness of between 1 and 5 years for a certificate of documentation for a recreational vessel or the renewal thereof. ; and by redesignating subparagraph
(C)as subparagraph (B).
