Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of State shall report to the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Foreign Relations of the Senate on the Department of State’s actions to disrupt firearms trafficking to Mexico that includes— the results of the Department’s efforts in Mexico on combating firearms trafficking from the United States; and the Department’s actions to implement the recommendations, including targets with baselines and timeframes for the Department’s efforts in Mexico on combating firearms trafficking, contained in the report of the Government Accountability Office entitled Firearms Trafficking:
U.S. Efforts to Disrupt Gun Smuggling into Mexico Would Benefit from Additional Data and Analysis , dated February 22, 2021 (GAO–21–322).
