Of the funds authorized to be appropriated or otherwise made available for fiscal year 2022 for the Office of the Secretary of Defense for travel expenses, not more than 90 percent may be obligated or expended before the date on which all of the following reports are submitted to Congress and made publicly available: The report required under section 589F(c) of the William M.
(Mac)Thornberry National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021 ( Public Law 116–283 ). The report required under section 888 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2020 ( Public Law 116–92 ). Not later than 30 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Defense shall provide to the Committees on Armed Services of the Senate and House of Representatives a briefing on obstacles to compliance with congressional mandated reporting requirements.
