Section 958(a) of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 ( 42 U.S.C. 16278(a) ) is amended by striking to be proposed and funded, in whole or in part, by the private sector . Section 958 of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 ( 42 U.S.C. 16278 ) is amended by adding at the end the following: There are authorized to be appropriated to the Secretary to carry out this section $40,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2023 through 2027. . Section 959A(c) of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 ( 42 U.S.C. 16279a(c) ) is amended— in paragraph (9)(C), by striking and at the end; in paragraph (10)(F), by striking the period at the end and inserting ; and ; and by adding the following: carry out not less than four demonstration projects of any given reactor configuration involving new or significantly improved equipment, process, or production method. .
Section 959A of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 ( 42 U.S.C. 16279a ) is amended by striking subsection
(f)and inserting the following: There are authorized to be appropriated to the Secretary to carry out the program under this subsection, $1,500,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2023 through 2027. .
