Sec. 203. Updating manufactured homes

Not later than one year after the date of enactment of this section, the Secretary shall establish a program to provide grants and technical assistance to individuals or businesses to facilitate the replacement of inefficient manufactured homes with efficient manufactured homes. In this section: The term efficient manufactured home means a manufactured home for which the Energy Star label may be used in accordance with section 324A of the Energy Policy and Conservation Act ( 42 U.S.C. 6294a ).
The term inefficient manufactured home means a manufactured home that was manufactured before June 1976. The term manufactured home has the meaning given such term in section 603 of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 ( 42 U.S.C. 5402 ). There is authorized to be appropriated to carry out this section $2,500,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2022 through 2031, to remain available until expended.
