Not later than 6 months after the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Transportation and the Secretary of Energy shall each promulgate regulations requiring the utilization of qualified electricians in the construction, installation, operation and maintenance of electric vehicle charging stations assisted, in whole or in part, by funding provided under this Act. In this section, the term qualified electrician means an electrician who has completed training under the Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Training Program (EVITP) and obtained an EVITP certification.
