The Secretary or Transportation shall take all reasonable efforts to provide assistance for an Olympic or Paralympic event, or a Special Olympics International event, including the following: Planning activities of States and metropolitan planning organizations and transportation projects relating to an international Olympic or Paralympic event, or a Special Olympics International event, under sections 134 and 135 of title 23, United States Code. Developing intermodal transportation plans necessary for the projects, in coordination with State and local transportation agencies.
Efforts to expedite review and comment by the Department of Transportation on any required submittals pertaining to an Olympic or Paralympic event or a Special Olympics International event. Providing technical assistance.
