The Secretary of State should increase the number of Junior Professional Officer positions sponsored by the United States within the United Nations system. Not later than December 31 of each year, the Secretary of State shall provide the appropriate congressional committees information regarding the amount of funding each bureau has designated during the immediately preceding fiscal year for Junior Professional Officer positions in the United Nations system and the number of such positions that exist as of the end of the prior fiscal year.
