There is authorized to be appropriated for each of fiscal years 2022 through fiscal year 2026 for the Department of State, out of amounts authorized to be appropriated or otherwise made available for assistance under chapter 5 of part II of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 ( 22 U.S.C. 2347 et seq. ) (relating to international military education and training assistance), $45,000,000 for activities in the Indo-Pacific region in accordance with this subtitle. Funds may be disbursed only after vetting of individuals proposed to be trained, consistent with sections 502B and 620M of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 (22 U.S.C. 2304 and 2378d).
