Section 406 of the Agricultural Research, Extension, and Education Reform Act of 1998 ( 7 U.S.C. 7626 ) is amended— by redesignating subsections (d), (e), and
(f)as subsections (f), (g), and (h), respectively; and by inserting after subsection
(c)the following: The Secretary shall ensure that grants made under this section are, where appropriate, consistent with the development of food and agricultural systems that improve climate resilience. The Secretary shall ensure that grants made under this section to support pest management prioritize ecologically based approaches that are effective, affordable, and environmentally sound, maintain agricultural productivity and healthy communities, and improve climate resilience. .
