Sec. 3207. GAO report on nonprofit pharmaceutical organizations

The Comptroller General of the United States (referred to in this section as the Comptroller General ) shall prepare a report on— what is known about nonprofit pharmaceutical manufacturing organizations, including the impact of such organizations on the development, availability, and cost of prescription drugs in the United States, which may include information with respect to the capacity and capability to help prevent or mitigate shortages of such drugs, and any challenges to manufacturing or other operations; and recommendations to address such challenges.
Not later than 2 years after the date of enactment of this Act, the Comptroller General shall submit the report described in subsection
(a)to the Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions of the Senate and the Committee on Energy and Commerce of the House of Representatives.
