Sec. 207. Opioid treatment education

The Secretary shall award grants to States and local governmental entities to provide education to stakeholders, including health care providers, criminal justice professionals, and substance use disorder treatment personnel, on the current state of research on treatment for opioid dependence, including— the use of opioid agonists or partial agonists; and the potential benefits of the use of opioid agonists or partial agonists for affected individuals. To carry out this section, there is authorized to be appropriated $100,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2022 through 2026.
