Not later than 90 days after the date of enactment of this Act, the Election Assistance Commission, in consultation with the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, shall establish a task force to carry out the study and report required under section 3803. The task force shall be comprised of the following: At least 1 expert representing the Government. At least 1 expert representing academia. At least 1 expert representing non-profit organizations. At least 1 expert representing the social media industry.
At least 1 election official. Any other expert that the Commission determines appropriate. The Commission shall select task force members to serve by virtue of their expertise in automation technology. Not later than 90 days after the date of enactment of this Act, the Commission shall appoint the members of the task force. Members of the task force shall serve without pay and shall not receive travel expenses. The Commission shall ensure appropriate staff and officials of the Commission are available to support any task force-related work.
