Chapter 1 of title 38, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new section: In order to carry out statistical analysis required under section 302 of the Commander John Scott Hannon Veterans Mental Health Care Improvement Act of 2019 , or any other preventative or complex statistical analysis required under this title or any other provision of law, the Secretary may contract with academic institutions or other qualified entities, as determined by the Secretary, to carry out the statistical analysis. .
The table of sections at the beginning of chapter 1 of such title is amended by inserting after the item relating to section 118 the following new item: 119. Contracting for preventative or complex statistical analysis. .
