Not later than 1 year after the date of enactment of this Act, subject to valid existing rights, the Secretary shall convey to the Ukpeagvik Inupiat Corporation all right, title, and interest held by the United States in and to sand and gravel deposits underlying the surface estate owned by the Ukpeagvik Inupiat Corporation within and contiguous to the Barrow gas fields, and more particularly described as follows: T. 21 N. R. 16 W., secs. 7, 17–18, 19–21, and 28–29, of the Umiat Meridian.
T. 21 N. R. 17 W., secs. 1–2 and 11–14, of the Umiat Meridian. T. 22 N. R. 18 W., secs. 4, 9, and 29–32, of the Umiat Meridian. T. 22 N. R. 19 W., secs. 25 and 36, of the Umiat Meridian. The conveyance under this section shall fulfill the entitlement granted to the Ukpeagvik Inupiat Corporation under section 12(a) of the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act ( 43 U.S.C. 1611(a) ). Nothing in this section affects any requirement, prohibition, or exception under the Endangered Species Act of 1973 ( 16 U.S.C. 1531 et seq.).
