Sec. 444. Collection of information from United States entities concerning requests by the Government of China

The Secretary of Commerce shall collect from each United States entity that does business in the People’s Republic of China information concerning requests from the Government of China relating to censorship, surveillance, data transfers, and the establishment of cells of that government within that entity. Not later than one year after the date of the enactment of this Act, and annually thereafter, the Secretary shall submit to Congress a classified report on the information collected under subsection
(a)during the period covered by the report. The information included in each report submitted under paragraph (1)— shall not identify any particular United States entity; and shall be disaggregated by industry sector.
