In this subtitle: The term appropriate congressional committees means— the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, the Committee on Armed Services, the Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions, the Committee on Foreign Relations, the Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs, the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources, and the Committee on Appropriations of the Senate; and the Committee on Energy and Commerce, the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, the Committee on Armed Services, the Committee on Science, Space, and Technology, the Committee on Foreign Affairs, the Committee on Financial Services, and the Committee on Appropriations of the House of Representatives.
The term socially and economically disadvantaged individual means any socially and economically disadvantaged individual described in the flush text following section 8(d)(3)(C) of the Small Business Act ( 15 U.S.C. 637(d)(3)(C) ) and in any relevant subcontracting regulation issued under such section 8(d).
