Section 107 of the Defense Production Act of 1950 ( 50 U.S.C. 4517 ) is amended by adding at the end the following: With respect to a public health emergency declared under section 319 of the Public Health Service Act ( 42 U.S.C. 247d ), or preparations for such a public health emergency, the Secretary of Health and Human Services and the Administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency may carry out the authorities provided under this section to the same extent as the President. .
