Sec. 1608. Space launch rate assessment

Not later than 90 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, and biennially thereafter for the following five-year period, the Secretary of the Air Force shall submit to the congressional defense committees an assessment that includes— the total number of space launches for all national security and Federal civil agency entities conducted in the United States during the preceding two-year period; and the number of space launches by the same sponsors projected to occur during the following three-year period, including— the number of launches, disaggregated by class of launch vehicle; and the number of payloads, disaggregated by orbital destination.
