Sec. 9501. Report on attempts by foreign adversaries to build telecommunications and cybersecurity equipment and services for, or to provide such equipment and services to, certain allies of the United States

In this section: The term appropriate committees of Congress means— the Committee on Armed Services and the Select Committee on Intelligence of the Senate; and the Committee on Armed Services and the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence of the House of Representatives. The term Five Eyes country means any of the following: Australia. Canada. New Zealand. The United Kingdom. The United States. Not later than 90 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, the Director of the National Security Agency, and the Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency shall jointly submit to the appropriate committees of Congress a report on attempts by foreign adversaries to build telecommunications and cybersecurity equipment and services for, or to provide such equipment and services to, Five Eyes countries.
The report submitted under subsection
(b)shall include the following: An assessment of United States intelligence sharing and intelligence and military force posture in any Five Eyes country that currently uses or intends to use telecommunications or cybersecurity equipment or services provided by a foreign adversary of the United States, including China and Russia. A description and assessment of mitigation of any potential compromises or risks for any circumstance described in paragraph (1). The report required by subsection
(b)shall include an unclassified executive summary, and may include a classified annex.
