Subchapter II of chapter 169 of title 10, United States Code, is amended by striking section 2830 and inserting the following new section: The Secretary concerned may not lease a substandard family housing unit to a member of a uniformed service for occupancy by such member. . The table of sections at the beginning of subchapter II of such chapter is amended by striking the item relating to section 2830 and inserting the following new item: 2830. Prohibition on substandard family housing units. . The amendments made by this section shall take effect on October 1, 2021.
