Sec. 304. Requirement to consult with Congress before restricting travel to or from the United States

Not later than 5 days before imposing travel restrictions regarding travel to or from the United States, the President shall consult with the relevant congressional committees and provide a notification that includes— a policy and legal justification for the travel restrictions; a record and description of diplomatic notifications to countries that would be affected by the travel restrictions; and a description of the expected national security, health, and economic implications resulting from the restrictions.
In this section, the term relevant congressional committees means— the Committee on Foreign Relations and the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation of the Senate; and the Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure of the House of Representatives.
