Section 206 of the Water Resources Development Act of 1996 ( 33 U.S.C. 2330 ) is amended— by redesignating subsection
(f)as subsection (g); and by inserting after subsection
(e)the following: For the period of fiscal years 2021 through 2024, in carrying out this section, the Secretary shall give priority to a project that— is located in the South Platte River Basin; is on a body of water that is identified by the applicable State under section 303(d) of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act ( 33 U.S.C. 1313(d) ) as being impaired; has the potential to provide flood risk management and recreational benefits in addition to ecosystem restoration benefits; and is located in a city with a population of 80,000 or less. .
