There are authorized to be appropriated, for each of the fiscal years 2021 through 2025— to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, $190,000,000 for the Global Disease Detection and Emergency Response and Global Public Health Capacity and Development Accounts, which shall be used to support activities that— are consistent with United States global health security policy, goals, and priorities; have measurable benchmarks; and focus on preventing avoidable catastrophes, detecting threats early, and responding rapidly and effectively; and to the United States Agency for International Development, $110,000,000 for the Global Health Security Account, which shall be used to support activities that— are consistent with United States global health security policy, goals, and priorities; have measurable benchmarks; and focus on preventing avoidable catastrophes, detecting threats early, and responding rapidly and effectively.
