Section 107 of the Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act ( 42 U.S.C. 5106c ) is amended— in subsection (a)— by striking the assessment and investigation each place it appears and inserting the assessment, investigation, and prosecution ; in paragraph (1)— by striking and exploitation, and inserting , exploitation, and child sex-trafficking, ; and by inserting , including through a child abuse investigative multidisciplinary review team before the semicolon; in paragraph (2), by adding and after the semicolon; by striking paragraph (3); by redesignating paragraph
(4)as paragraph (3); and in paragraph (3), as so redesignated, by inserting , or other vulnerable populations, after health-related problems ; in subsection (c)(1)— in subparagraph (I), by striking and at the end; in subparagraph (J), by striking the period and inserting ; and ; and by adding at the end the following: individuals experienced in working with underserved or overrepresented groups in the child welfare system. ; and in subsection (d)(1), by striking and exploitation and inserting , exploitation, and child sex-trafficking ; and in subsection (e)(1)— in subparagraph (A), by striking and exploitation and inserting , exploitation, and child sex-trafficking ; in subparagraph (B), by striking ; and at the end and inserting a semicolon; in subparagraph (C)— by striking and exploitation and inserting , exploitation, and child sex-trafficking ; and by striking the period and inserting ; and ; and by adding at the end the following: improving coordination among agencies regarding reports of child abuse and neglect to ensure both law enforcement and child protective services agencies have ready access to full information regarding past reports, which may be done in coordination with other States or geographic regions. .
