Choose Children & Youth ) Section 41201 of the Violence Against Women Act of 1994 ( 34 U.S.C. 12451 ) is amended— in subsection (b)— in paragraph (1)— in subparagraph (B), by striking or at the end; in subparagraph (C), by striking the period at the end and inserting ; or ; and by inserting after subparagraph
(C)the following: clarify State or local mandatory reporting policies and practices regarding peer-on-peer dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, and sex trafficking. ; and in paragraph (2)— in subparagraph
(A)by striking or sex trafficking and inserting sex trafficking, or female genital mutilation or cutting ; and in subparagraph
(B)by striking or sex trafficking and inserting sex trafficking, or female genital mutilation or cutting, ; in subsection (d)(3), by inserting , and, where intervention or programming will include a focus on female genital mutilation or cutting, sufficient training on that topic after sex trafficking ; and in subsection (f), by striking $15,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2014 through 2018 and inserting $27,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2020 through 2029 . The amendments made by paragraphs
(1)and
(2)of subsection
(a)shall not take effect until October 1, 2020.
