Sec. 9. Clarifying Authority of FEC Attorneys to Represent FEC in Supreme Court

Section 306(f)(4) of the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971 ( 52 U.S.C. 30106(f)(4) ) is amended by striking any action instituted under this Act, either
(A)by attorneys and inserting any action instituted under this Act, including an action before the Supreme Court of the United States, either
(A)by the General Counsel of the Commission and other attorneys . The amendment made by subsection
(a)shall apply with respect to actions instituted before, on, or after the date of the enactment of this Act.
