Sec. 305. Director of National Intelligence review of placement of positions within the intelligence community on the Executive Schedule

The Director of National Intelligence, in coordination with the Director of the Office of Personnel Management, shall conduct a review of positions within the intelligence community regarding the placement of such positions on the Executive Schedule under subchapter II of chapter 53 of title 5, United States Code. In carrying out such review, the Director of National Intelligence, in coordination with the Director of the Office of Personnel Management, shall determine— the standards under which such review will be conducted; which positions should or should not be on the Executive Schedule; and for those positions that should be on the Executive Schedule, the level of the Executive Schedule at which such positions should be placed.
Not later than 60 days after the date on which the review under subsection
(a)is completed, the Director of National Intelligence shall submit to the congressional intelligence committees, the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs of the Senate, and the Committee on Oversight and Reform of the House of Representatives an unredacted report describing the standards by which the review was conducted and the outcome of the review.
