In this Act: The term confer has the meaning given the term in section 514 of the Indian Health Care Improvement Act ( 25 U.S.C. 1660d ). The term databases means— the National Crime Information Center database; the Combined DNA Index System; the Next Generation Identification System; and any other database relevant to responding to cases of missing or murdered Indians, including that under the Violent Criminal Apprehension Program and the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System.
The term Indian means a member of an Indian Tribe. The term Indian country has the meaning given the term in section 1151 of title 18, United States Code. The term Indian land means Indian lands, as defined in section 3 of the Native American Business Development, Trade Promotion, and Tourism Act of 2000 ( 25 U.S.C. 4302 ). The term Indian Tribe has the meaning given the term Indian tribe in section 4 of the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act ( 25 U.S.C. 5304 ).
The term law enforcement agency means a Tribal, Federal, State, or local law enforcement agency.
