Section 632 of the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 ( 42 U.S.C. 17211 ) is amended to read as follows: In this subtitle, the term marine energy means energy from— waves, tides, and currents in oceans, estuaries, and tidal areas; free-flowing hydrokinetic water in rivers, lakes, and streams; free-flowing hydrokinetic water in man-made channels; and differentials in ocean temperature or ocean thermal energy conversion. .
