Sec. 567. Authority for detail of certain enlisted members of the Armed Forces as students at law schools

Section 2004 of title 10, United States Code, is amended— in subsection (a)— by inserting and enlisted members after commissioned officers ; by striking bachelor of laws or ; and by inserting and enlisted members after twenty-five officers ; in subsection (b)— in the matter preceding paragraph (1), by inserting or enlisted member after officer ; by striking paragraph
(1)and inserting the following new paragraph (1): either— have served on active duty for a period of not less than two years nor more than six years and be an officer in the pay grade O–3 or below as of the time the training is to begin; or have served on active duty for a period of not less than four years nor more than eight years and be an enlisted member in the pay grade E–5, E–6, or E–7 as of the time the training is to begin; ; by redesignating paragraph
(2)as paragraph (3); by inserting after paragraph (1), as amended by subparagraph (B), the following new paragraph (2): in the case of an enlisted member, meet all requirements for acceptance of a commission as a commissioned officer in the armed forces; and ; and in subparagraph
(B)of paragraph (3), as redesignated by subparagraph
(C)of this paragraph, by striking or law specialist ; in subsection (c)— in the first sentence, by inserting and enlisted members after Officers ; and in the second sentence, by inserting or enlisted member after officer each place it appears; in subsection (d), by inserting and enlistment members after officers ; in subsection (e), by inserting or enlistment member after officer ; and in subsection (f), by inserting or enlisted member after officer . The heading of such section is amended to read as follows: . The table of sections at the beginning of chapter 101 of such title is amended by striking the item relating to section 2004 and inserting the following new item: 2004. Detail as students at law schools; commissioned officers; certain enlisted members. .
