Sec. 1271. Report on cost imposition strategy

Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Defense shall submit to the congressional defense committees a report describing the cost imposition strategies of the Department of Defense with respect to the People's Republic of China and the Russian Federation. The report under subsection
(a)shall include the following: A description of the manner in which the future-years defense program and current operational concepts of the Department are designed to impose costs on the People's Republic of China and the Russian Federation, including— political, economic, monetary, human capital, and technology costs; and costs associated with military efficiency and effectiveness. A description of the policies and processes of the Department relating to the development and execution of cost imposition strategies. The report under subsection
(a)shall be submitted in classified form, and shall include an unclassified summary.
