Not later than August 31, 2020, the Secretary of the Air Force shall brief the congressional defense committees on the findings of an assessment of the Air Force's precision-guided missiles for reliance on foreign-made microelectronic components. The assessment required under subsection
(a)shall— consider certain risks such as— where microelectronic components for all of the Air Force's precision-guided missiles currently in production were made; the contract tier level of the microelectronic components supplier; and which of the microelectronic components are cyber security concerns; and identify mitigation strategies.
