Sec. 536. Report on mechanisms to enhance the integration and synchronization of activities of Special Victim Investigation and Prosecution personnel with activities of military criminal investigative organizations

Not later than one year after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Defense shall, in consultation with the Secretaries of the military departments, submit to the Committees on Armed Services of the Senate and the House of Representatives a report setting forth proposals for various mechanisms to enhance the integration and synchronization of activities of Special Victim Investigation and Prosecution
(SVIP)personnel with activities of military criminal investigative organizations (MCIOs) in investigations in which both such personnel are or may be involved. If the proposed mechanisms require legislative or administration action for implementation, the report shall set forth such recommendations for such action as the Secretary of Defense considers appropriate.
