Section 234 of the John S. McCain National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2019 ( Public Law 115–232 ) is amended— in subsection (b)— in paragraph (2)— by inserting and international after interagency ; and by striking private sector inserting private-sector and international ; and in paragraph (6), by inserting , workforce, after including facilities ; in subsection (c)— in paragraph (2), by striking sciences; and inserting the following: “sciences, including through coordination with— the National Quantum Coordination Office; the National Science and Technology Council Quantum Information Science Subcommittee; other Federal agencies; other elements and offices of the Department of Defense; and appropriate private-sector organizations; ; in paragraph (3), by striking and at the end; by redesignating paragraph
(4)as paragraph (5); and by inserting after paragraph
(3)the following new paragraph (4): develop, in coordination with appropriate Federal entities, a taxonomy for quantum science activities and requirements for relevant technology and standards; and ; and in subsection (d)(2)(D), by inserting a roadmap and after including .
