Section 2879(a) of title 10, United States Code, is amended— in paragraph (1), by striking that protect against unintentional window falls by young children and that are in compliance with applicable International Building Code
(IBC)standards and inserting described in paragraph
(3); in paragraph (2)— in subparagraph (A), by striking December 11, 2017 and inserting October 1, 2019 ; and in subparagraph (B), by striking September 1, 2018 and inserting October 1, 2019 ; and by adding at the end the following new paragraph: A fall prevention device is a window screen or guard that complies with applicable standards in ASTM standard F2090–13 (or any successor standard). . Section 2879(c) of title 10, United States Code, is amended by striking 24 and inserting 42 . Section 2879(b)(1) of title 10, United States Code, is amended by striking paragraph
(1)and inserting paragraph
(3).
