Section 1225 of the Carl Levin and Howard P. Buck McKeon National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2015 ( Public Law 113–291 ; 128 Stat. 3558) is amended— in subsection (a)— in paragraph (2), by striking December 15, 2020 and inserting December 15, 2022 ; and by amending paragraph
(3)to read as follows: Each report required under paragraph
(1)shall be submitted in unclassified form without any designation relating to dissemination control, but may include a classified annex. ; and in subsection (b)— by inserting , to include the progress of the Government of Afghanistan on securing Afghan territory and population, after the current security conditions in Afghanistan ; by striking and the Haqqani Network and inserting the Haqqani Network, and the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria Khorasan ; and by adding at the end the following: A description of the monitoring and evaluation measures that the Department of Defense and the Government of Afghanistan are taking to ensure that funds of the Afghanistan Security Forces Fund provided to the Government of Afghanistan as direct government-to-government assistance are not subject to waste, fraud, or abuse. .
