Sec. 1097. Report on executive helicopter flights in the National Capital Region

Congress finds that in the Report on the Effects of Military Helicopter Noise on National Capital Region Communities and Individuals submitted by the Department of the Army to Congress on February 15, 2018, the Department of the Army stated: The DoD possesses helicopters which operate and train inside the NCR supporting multiple missions to include continuity of operations, defense support of civil authorities, executive transport, and other activities as directed. . Not later than 120 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Defense shall submit to Congress a report on the number of helicopter trips used for executive transport, including the number of such helicopters from each branch of the Armed Services, in the National Capital Region during the period beginning on the date of the enactment of this Act and ending on the day that is 90 days after the date of the enactment of this Act.
The Secretary shall make the report required under subsection
(b)publicly available. In this section, the term executive transport has the meaning given such term in the Report on the Effects of Military Helicopter Noise on National Capital Region Communities and Individuals submitted by the Department of the Army to Congress on February 15, 2018.
