Section 210(d)(2) of the Asia Reassurance Initiative Act of 2018 ( Public Law 115–409 ) is amended— in subparagraph (B)— in clause (i), by striking and at the end; in clause (ii), by striking the period at the end and inserting a semicolon; and by inserting after clause
(ii)the following: how diplomatic negotiations with the Government of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea are expected to proceed; and United States efforts to continue to exert economic pressure, in coordination with United States allies, with respect to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea; ; and in subparagraph (C)— in clause (iii), by striking and at the end; and by inserting after clause
(iv)the following: an assessment of credible diplomatic engagement by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea; and an assessment of the threat posed by the nuclear and ballistic missile programs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea; .
