Section 3 of the Federal Assets Sale and Transfer Act of 2016 ( 40 U.S.C. 1303 note; Public Law 114–287 ) is amended— by redesignating paragraphs

(4)through

(9)as paragraphs (5), (6), (7), (8), (9), and (11), respectively; by inserting after paragraph

(3)the following: The term disposal means any action that constitutes the removal of any Federal civilian real property from the Federal inventory, including sale, deed, demolition, or exchange. ; and by inserting after paragraph

(9)(as so redesignated) the following: The term Secretary means the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development. .
