Chapter 137 of title 10, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end a new section 2339a consisting of— a heading as follows: ; and the text of subsections
(a)through
(n)of section 831 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1991 ( 10 U.S.C. 2302 note). Section 2339a of title 10, United States Code, as added by subsection
(a)of this section, is amended— in subsection (a)— in the heading, by striking ; and pilot by striking and inserting pilot program ; program in subsection (c)(1), by striking pilot each place it appears; by striking subsection (j); by redesignating subsections
(k)through
(n)as subsections
(j)through (m), respectively; in subsection
(j)(as so redesignated)— by striking pilot each place it appears; and by striking the third and fourth sentences; and in subsection
(m)(as so redesignated), by striking has less than half in paragraph
(2)and inserting is not more than . The table of sections at the beginning of chapter 137 of title 10, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new item: 2339a. Mentor-Protégé Program. . Section 831 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1991 ( 10 U.S.C. 2302 note) is hereby repealed. Regulations prescribed by the Secretary of Defense under section 831 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1991 ( 10 U.S.C. 2302 note), as in effect the day before the date of the enactment of this Act, shall continue to apply to section 2339a of title 10, United States Code, as added by subsection
(a)of this section, until such time as the Secretary of Defense prescribes regulations under such section 2339a.
