Subparagraph
(B)of section 312(n)(6) of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act ( 33 U.S.C. 1322(n) ) is amended by adding at the end the following: When conducted in compliance with regulations promulgated pursuant to paragraph (4), any discharge incidental to the normal operation of a vessel of the Armed Forces is considered a federally permitted release within the meaning of paragraph
(10)of section 101 of the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act of 1980 ( . 42 U.S.C. 9601(10) ), and is excluded from the definition of solid waste under paragraph
(27)of section 1004 of the Solid Waste Disposal Act ( 42 U.S.C. 6903(27) ).
