Sec. 610. Classified briefing on activities of certain foreign governments and actors in Venezuela

Not later than 90 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of State, acting through the Bureau of Intelligence and Research of the Department of State, and in coordination with the Director of National Intelligence, shall brief the appropriate congressional committees on— the full extent of cooperation by the Government of the Russian Federation, the Government of the People’s Republic of China, the Government of Cuba, and the Government of Iran with the Maduro regime; and the activities inside Venezuelan territory of foreign armed groups, including Colombian criminal organizations and defectors from the Colombian guerilla group known as the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, and foreign terrorist organizations, including the Colombian guerilla group known as the National Liberation Army (ELN).
In this section, the term appropriate congressional committees means— the Committee on Foreign Relations of the Senate ; the Select Committee on Intelligence of the Senate ; the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the House of Representatives ; and the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence of the House of Representatives .
