The Secretary of Commerce may waive, in whole or in part, the matching requirements under section 306 and 306A, and the cost sharing requirements under section 315, of the Coastal Zone Management Act of 1972 ( 16 U.S.C. 1455 , 1455a, and 1461 respectively) as necessary for fiscal years 2020, 2021, and 2022 upon written request by a coastal State.
