Section 208 of the Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act ( 42 U.S.C. 5116h ) is amended— by redesignating paragraphs
(1)and
(2)as paragraphs
(2)and (1), respectively, and transferring paragraph
(1)as redesignated to appear before paragraph
(2)as redesignated; and by striking paragraph
(1)(as so redesignated) and inserting the following: The term community-based family strengthening services includes family resource programs, family support programs, voluntary home visiting programs, respite care services, parenting education, mutual support programs for parents and children, parent partner programs, and other community programs or networks of such programs that provide activities that are designed to prevent child abuse and neglect. .
