Sec. 417. Judicial workplace climate surveys

Chapter 21 of title 28, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following: The Judicial Conference of the United States shall administer climate survey to each employee of a court of the United States about the work environment of the court, which shall— be administered not later than 18 months after the date of enactment of this section and every 2 years thereafter; be voluntary; survey respondents on the general work environment, including attitudes in the workplace regarding diversity and inclusion and harassment or discrimination on the basis of race, ethnicity, disability, sex, sexual orientation, and gender identity; and be anonymous and confidential, with notice of the anonymity and confidentiality made to the respondent throughout the survey.
Information obtained in a survey administered under subsection
(a)shall be— made publicly available; and transmitted to the Committee on the Judiciary of the Senate and the Committee on the Judiciary, the Chief Justice of the United States, and the Judicial Conference of the United States. .
