No employer shall discharge or in any manner discriminate against any employee of the employer with respect to the employee's compensation, terms, conditions, or other privileges of employment because— the employee has received training or severance pay under this Act; or the employee (or an individual acting at the request of the employee) has— requested new employment for the employee with the employer under this Act; or otherwise asserted or sought to enforce the employee's rights under this Act.
