Section 207(a) of the Immigration and Nationality Act ( 8 U.S.C. 1157(a) ) is amended by adding at the end the following: The number of refugees who may be admitted under this section, and the number of aliens granted asylum whose status may be adjusted under section 209, may not exceed a total of 50,000 in any fiscal year after fiscal year 2020. .
