Subsection
(c)of section 1801 of the Homeland Security Act of 2002 ( 6 U.S.C. 571 ) is amended— by striking paragraph (3); by redesignating paragraphs
(4)through
(16)as paragraphs
(3)through (15), respectively; in paragraph (8), as so redesignated, by striking , in cooperation with the National Communications System, ; in paragraph (11), as so redesignated, by striking Assistant Secretary for Grants and Training and inserting Administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency ; in paragraph (14), as so redesignated, by striking and at the end; in paragraph (15), as so redesignated, by striking the period at the end and inserting a semicolon; and by adding at the end the following new paragraphs: administer the Government Emergency Telecommunications Service
(GETS)and Wireless Priority Service
(WPS)programs, or successor programs; and assess the impact of emerging technologies on interoperable emergency communications. . Subsection
(d)of section 1801 of the Homeland Security Act of 2002 is amended by— striking paragraph (2); and redesignating paragraph
(3)as paragraph (2).
